Bob Deaton, Founder

A native of Livermore, California, Bob relocated to Auburn, Washington, where he founded Jornada Roofing Company in the early 2000s. Blending his passion for sports with his commitment to community service, he launched the Jornada Roofing Celebrity Golf Classic, raising significant funds for local charities. Bob has also been an active supporter and organizer of The Randall Morris Foundation for Youth and Families. He has helped grow its annual gala, golf, and poker tournaments into successful fundraising events that have made a meaningful impact. 

Determined to do more than just collect donations for charities, Bob sought to experience the positive changes in his community firsthand. He identified diligent families who desperately needed new roofs and found a way to make that a reality without any cost to them. It took a united community effort to provide these families with the roofs they needed. The heartfelt gratitude from the families has created a lasting influence on Bob's life.

Today, Bob views this work not only as a calling but as his lifelong dream—creating lasting change for deserving families and building a legacy of compassion that extends far beyond his professional career.

Bob and his wife are proud parents of a son and daughter, and together they continue to cherish the blessings of family and community.

BK Chen brings a rich tapestry of experiences shaped by his tenure as a technologist at a prestigious university and his service in a government agency. Being a first-generation immigrant, he intimately understands the kindness and solidarity found within communities. Motivated by the foundation's mission to create enchanting moments in people's lives and inspired by the philanthropic endeavors of his fellow directors, he passionately embraces the noble causes championed by this remarkable foundation. Alongside our dedicated team, he is devoted to nurturing a culture of empathy and compassion, recognizing that our collective endeavors hold the power to spark positive transformations and uplift communities.
